Deciding what specific data will be migrated to the new system is a key consideration for any system implementation or upgrade. The decision to migrate historical data also requires forethought as this requires significant technical and validation effort.
At Inavista, we work with our clients to determine the best strategy for data migration, and help determine which data will be pulled from the old legacy systems to the new system.
Whether cloud-based or on-premise, the goal is to populate the new system with clean and relevant data and provide the business with the data required to meet the business objectives.
Inavista simplifies the data integration process by utilizing software tools and developing Exchange scripts to achieve an automated migration to the fullest extent, thus freeing up human resources from this tedious activity.
Let Inavista help you develop a successful Data Archiving Strategy with tangible results.
A good archiving plan delivers a host of benefits to organizations.
Data growth and terabyte-sized databases creates an overload on your system and puts a strain on the response time of applications.
To allow your Production system to continue to work at an optimal level, we work with our clients to figure out what data is infrequently accessed and can be moved from your primary storage to an offline system. ERP data moved to an offline can still be accessed by users. This is especially useful for reporting needs.
The goal is to effectively manage your data. Organizations look to reduce the volume of data residing in their production environment, minimizing the impact to IT operations, while remaining compliant with regulatory requirements.
There are numerous archiving solutions available and Inavista can help determine the best strategy for your organization to manage your ERP application data.
Ad Hoc Reporting offers countless benefits to the ongoing success and growth of any organization.
A good ad hoc reporting solution enables business end-users to access the data they need for simple analysis and reporting without having to rely on IT personnel to develop reports to serve different purposes. Users can generate quick reports for single use, without generating complicated SQL queries.
We work with our clients to build a Reporting Strategy that provides a flexible and practical reporting solution to respond to the needs of the business. With the right strategy and tools, we empower users by providing the self-service ability to create the reports they need, when they need them.
In addition to standard and recurring data reports, ad hoc reporting offers business end-users a different level of insight to to answer their business questions.
Business Intelligence & Analytics
Inavista Solutions enables organizations to make fast, accurate and intelligent business decisions. We know that effective Business Intelligence (BI), Accounting Intelligence (AI), Data Warehousing (DW) and advanced reporting initiatives require the integration of advanced technologies, careful consideration of data architecture, and clear insight into market trends, customer behavior and business patterns.
We define an overall vision for adopting BI approaches and technologies to enhance an organization’s business performance. Our BI Strategy is based upon determining the critical analytical uses of the BI environment as well as creating a vision for integrating that environment into the larger business and technical environment.
We leverage advanced technologies, sophisticated approaches to data architecture, and innovative business concepts, including organizational development and change management, to:
- Develop a BI strategy with tangible business and technical objectives
- Select the right mix of business and technology experts for projects
- Optimize the balance between existing infrastructure investments and new technology
- Deliver the solution in phases to minimize risk and ensure business value in early stages.
We also design and develop Accounting Intelligence (AI) solutions that are specifically designed to analyze data from specific ERP systems. Information is extracted directly from the ERP at the time that a query is run. This reduces cost of implementation and maintenance by avoiding need for costly ETL processes and maintenance of separate databases. Accounting Intelligence applications leverage the structure of the chart of accounts, so for example dimension structures can be automatically created based on business unit hierarchies, level of detail or account category codes.
Time based functions specifically allow for YTD, rolling average and year on year analysis. By querying the ERP database, AI solutions ensure that the information returned is real time data.
Discrepancies in the accounts can be corrected and a fresh trial balance viewed immediately. Some aggregation in accounting systems is performed by the ERP when new journal entries are posted, so there is no need to use a cube to aggregate every journal entry from scratch.
